Mount Gilead Exempted Village Schools will be conducting a child check evaluation day on March 15, 2017. This Child Check is a required event for any student interested in participating in our Preschool Program next school year. The Mount Gilead Preschool Program is an inclusion model preschool program that is designed to serve our preschool aged children with disabilities with an equal number of non-disabled peers.

School districts across the state of Ohio are participating in an effort to identify, locate, and evaluate any preschool aged children who may have disabilities. Disability, in this instance, means such conditions as cognitive disability (mental retardation), a hearing impairment (including deafness), a speech or language impairment, a visual impairment (including blindness), a serious emotional disturbance, an orthopedic impairment, autism, traumatic brain injury, other health impairment, a specific learning disability, deaf-blindness, or multiple disabilities.

Please contact Betsy Anderson at 419-946-5736, ext. 3005 to get registered for our Child Check if you are interested in being considered for our 2017-2018 Preschool Program.
