Morrow County Health District office of Environmental Health was notified by the Ohio EPA on Feb. 28 that the agency has been approved to receive a second HSTS grant in the amount of $300,000 to assist homeowners with the repair of their sewage systems.
Lynne Keesey will begin accepting and reviewing application for assistance soon. Please contact Lynne to determine the requirements for you to participate in this opportunity.
For this new grant, MCHD plans to avoid combining projects, so as to allow more bidding on individual systems. Also, since the agency is required to accept the lowest and best bidder for these projects a survey letter is being sent to those homeowners that received assistance during the last grant year. The intent is to improve the program where possible so that homeowners have a thoroughly positive experience throughout the grant process.
