2:39 am – A woman in the 200 block of Lincoln ave. reported there were drug dealers on her front porch. When an officer arrived, she pointed him in the direction the suspects went. The officer was unable to locate the suspects and asked the woman to tell him what was going on. The woman had received a call from a friend who was in a fight it was headed to the woman’s house. The friend showed up with two other people who were talking about doing heroin. The woman advised her friend not to go with the men and the men started yelling at the woman, then took the friend with them.

9:20 am – A man in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue reported someone stole items from his vehicle during the night.

6:08 p.m. Kathleen Mullenix was charged with OVI , left of center, marked lanes, expired registration and cracked windshield.


1:20 a.m. – Cited and released Eric Monroe for driving under suspension on E. Marion St.

9:28 a.m. – Dispatch received a 911 call from the 300 block of South Delaware Street. The caller seemed confused and stated she had an emergency and then stated she didn’t. An officer responded to an elderly female at an apartment who advised she had a new phone and wasn’t sure how to operate it. She showed the officer what she had done and apologized.

4:48 p.m. – Officer responded to the 200 block of West Marion Road and was approached by a homeowner who advised he had a handheld torch that would not shut off. He attempted to throw water on it but it would not go out. Eventually the torch ran out of fuel.

5:08 p.m. – A woman on East Center Street advised her 16 year old daughter ran away. A friend reported she saw the girl walking on State Route 61 near Fulton. The girl told her friend she was running away to Kentucky. The friend asked the girl to get in the car and she did but acted like she was going to jump out of the car so the friend dropped her off at a local business. The mother drove to the local business but did not see the girl. Then dispatch advised they received a call from the Pilot station and the manager there said there was a young female in the parking lot requesting rides. A deputy picked up a girl and brought her back to the village.

8:59 p.m. – Officer observed a male walking down West Cedar Street drinking what appeared to be a beer. The officer had the young man dump the beer out, along with two more beers in his cargo shorts. He cited and released the man.


3:38 am – Officer picked up a loose beagle in the W.High St. area. The owner was located and dog returned.

6:40 pm- Officer checked on a 911 hangup call in the 400 block of N. Delaware St. Homeowner advised she did not call.

11:08 pm – Officer assisted Cardington PD and sheriff’s office with an armed subject who fled on foot in the 3000 block of CR 144. The subject was later apprehended.


1:26 am – A woman in the 300 block of Iberia St. reported her uncle observed a man standing outside her house with a flashlight about 11:30 pm and, upon approaching him, the man ran westbound. Officer advised both to report suspicious persons when they see them so officer can attempt to make contact. The woman also reported two solar lights stolen from her yard.

4:44 am – Officer responded to emergency room to assist with combative mental patient. Responded again at 5:37 am for same patient.

4:57 pm – A woman on E.High St. reported her friend yelled at her grandson and she wanted police to do something about it. It was determined the man only yelled at the boy and did not threaten or get physical with him. The man gathered his personal belongings and left.


1:18 am – A woman reported a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Douglas St. that was sitting for a long time with the brake lights on. Officer located the unoccupied but running vehicle and attempted to locate the owner but was unable.

2:08 pm – A woman reported she was involved in an accident on W. High St. earlier in the day and exchanged information with the other driver. There was significant damage to the entire passenger side of her vehicle. Officer asked the name of the other driver and she stated she hadn’t written it down but knew where he worked.

9:57 am – Officer saw a vehicle leave the Pop A Top Drive Thru parking lot after hours and followed the car, getting its registration. Officer returned to Pop A Top and checked out the premises.


1:10 am – Officer noticed male subject walking east on South St. and behind the storage units. Officer identified subject and noticed he was intoxicated. Subject said he had been drinking and was walking home. Officer transported subject to his residence in the 100 block of S.Main St. and notice was made to subject’s probation officer.

5:47 pm – A man on N. Main St. reported the license plate was removed from his motorcycle.

11:58 pm – A woman in the 200 block of W. Marion St. advised she was fighting with her neighbor over a parking complaint. Both parties were advised to contact the landlord.


12:35 am – A woman on E. Center St reported her 16-yr-old daughter was missing and she last saw her the day before. She said the daughter comes and goes as she pleases. She then stated her daughter was in Cardington with a friend whose last name she did not know. She called again and said the daughter was in Marion and would return soon.

5:36 pm – Two car accident at W.High and Iberia Streets.

11:22 pm – A woman on E.High St. reported an argument between her child’s father and his wife and herself, saying it became very heated between the two women. The woman said the wife made open ended threats of assaulting her. The woman wanted the incident documented.
