Unemployment figures continue to decline in October for four counties near the northern central Ohio region.

Crawford County’s not-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5 percent last month compared with 6.2 percent in October 2014, according to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services released Tuesday.

The county’s civilian labor force was down by 700 people from last year at 19,100 in October.

The unemployment rate in Richland County was 4.8 percent in October compared with 5.4 percent in the same month last year. The county’s civilian labor force was 54,100 people in October compared with 54,700 in October 2014.

The civilian labor force remained the same for Morrow County with the unemployment rate at 4.1 percent last month compared with 4.8 percent in October 2014.

The unemployment rate for Knox County slightly dropped to 4.1 percent in October.

Ohio’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 4.4 percent in October compared with 5.2 percent in October 2014.

The U.S. unemployment rate dropped to 5 percent last month compared with 5.7 percent in October 2014.
