Amanda Mahon was named Director of Education at Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center by the Board of Governors.

Most recently, Mahon has served as Principal of Plymouth High School. Previously, she taught English and American Studies at Shelby Senior High School.

A resident of Shelby, Mahon holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ashland University. She has been involved with the North Central Accreditation process, Ohio Improvement Process and served as the Firelands Conference League President for two years.

“What an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to work with and provide professional development to 16 school districts,” says Mahon. “I am beyond excited to join and learn alongside the Mid-Ohio ESC team.”

Mahon takes the position previously held by Cheryl Cronbaugh, who is retiring.

Linda T. Keller, Mid-Ohio ESC Superintendent, says, “We welcome Amanda Mahon to the Mid-Ohio ESC team. Her enthusiasm and unique talents will benefit all our client and member districts.”

Keller continues, “I want to thank Cheryl Cronbaugh for her dedicated service to Mid-Ohio ESC. She will be greatly missed. I am confident that Amanda will help us continue our good work here.”

Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, located at the Mid-Ohio Conference Center at 890 W. Fourth St. in Mansfield, provides high quality, cost-effective, specialized academic/ therapy support services and professional development for school districts in the Central Ohio region. These include offering alternative educational options, preschool education and printing services, as well as conference center facilities.
