As part of Christmas on the Square activities in Mt. Gilead, a campaign to collect items for overseas troops is underway through December 9.
Items that have been requested by troops are:
– Hand-written letters; beef jerky; sunflower seeds and flavor packets for water;
– Taco Bell sauce packets; hot sauce; Vicks Vapor Rub; and lip balm;
– Pain relieving cream (i.e. Icy Hot); lens cleaning cloths, small bottles glass cleaner;
– Baby wipes; sunscreen; books; plastic models; video games;
– board games; cards; movies and music.
Donated items can be turned in at Gardens and Gifts, 46 S. Main st., Mt. Gilead.
