Following the shooting deaths of eight residents in Pike County last week, officials are asking for law enforcement agencies around the country to assist Pike County in its investigation of the incidents.
According to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, four deupties from the department will be traveling to Pike County to assist in the investigation of four seperate homicide scenes.
The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office went onto explain that Pike County has a similar demographic to Morrow County. It operates with a serious shortage of law enforcement manpower in a rural landscape.
Most recent reports from Pike County indicate law enforcement officials have yet to determine a motive for the crimes or narrow their search to a particular suspect.
