5:00 A.M. Assisted SGT. Newsome with a domestic complaint at the 600 block of Portland Street. The male subject had left the scene prior to our arrival.
2:54 P.M. An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Lee Street on a reported alarm drop. Upon arrival the officer made contact with two juveniles. The juveniles advised they just got home from school and set the alarm off accidently. The juveniles stated their step-father would be home directly. The officer made sure they didn’t need anything and secured the scene. As the officer was pulling out the step-father arrived at the home.
4:12 P.M. Dispatch advised of a 9-1-1 hand up at the 400 block of South Delaware Street address. Dispatch advised fire control did not have an exact apartment number and said it was the middle building facing north. Upon arrival the officer did not see or hear anything out of place. The officer knocked on each apartment and everyone advised they were ok. The officer cleared the scene without incident.
4:33 P.M. While on patrol on North Main Street the officer saw a male subject running down the side walk. The officer stopped and yelled the subject’s name and he stopped running. The officer approached him and advised him there was a warrant for his arrest. The officer confirmed the warrant with dispatch who advised his warrant was out of Marion County. The officer had dispatch check with them to see if they wanted him, shortly after dispatch advised Marion did want him. The officer transported the male subject to the Morrow County Correctional Facility where he was released to the jail staff, shortly after Captain Rigney transported him to Marion.
8:01 P.M. A female subject reported a hit skip at the 100 block of West High Street.
2:02 A.M. While on foot patrol at DC tire, the officer found the rear entrance to be unsecure. The officer checked the building and secured the door.
5:19 P.M. Complainant locked her keys in her car on West High Street. Entry was gained without damage.
7:16 P.M. Complainant reported having civil issues with his ex-wife over child exchange and child support at the 300 block of West High Street. The complainant was advised to consult his attorney. The complainant’s mother stated she did not want child exchange at her residence. The complainant’s ex-wife had cussed at her and peeled out her driveway on several occasions. The officer attempted to contact the ex-wife, regarding exchange. She was not at home.
2:41 A.M. Assisted deputy Smith of the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office by administering a breath test to an O.V.I. suspect. The suspect refused the test.
6:44 A.M. Galion Police requested that an officer make contact with a female subject at the 200 block of Douglas Street and advise her to contact officer Strange via telephone. The officer made contact with a male subject who advised that the female subject was sleeping but that he would wake her up and have her call.
7:34 P.M. The complainant reported a suspicious vehicle parked behind her garage at the 100 block of North Vine Street. An officer made contact with the occupant of the vehicle who advised that he is the complainant’s father-in-law. The father-in-law advised he arrived in town late last night and was unable to make contact with anyone via telephone so he slept in his vehicle. The complainant confirmed this and the officer resume patrol.
3:20 P.M. SGT Cronenwett and an officer were dispatched to the 500 block of Lee Street in reference to a vandalism complaint. Upon arrival, we woke with a male subject, who informed us that someone had wrote the words “ can’t park” on the windshield of his 2014 vehicle with a black marker. The complainant also showed us a note that someone had left on his car the previous day that said he needed to learn how to park or stop driving. When the officer’s asked him what he wanted done, he stated that he just wanted it logged in case it happens again in the future.
6:08 P.M. Complainant locked her keys in her vehicle on the 500 block of West High Street. Entry was gained without damage.
8: 00 P.M. Complainant arrived on station and advised someone had stolen his rear license plate to his vehicle. The complainant stated his neighbor told him they heard his landlord saying he was going to loosen the screws on his license plate so it would fall off while he was driving. The officer asked the complainant who his landlord was and he only knew his first name. The complainant gave the officer a phone number to contact him. The officer attempted to make contact with the landlord at the phone number he gave him. A female answered and when the officer asked for the landlord she advised that the officer had the wrong number.
12:08 A.M. Dispatch advised of a complaint of a male subject walking northbound into the village from the intersection of State route 61 and US Highway 42. Dispatch advised that the subject was walking erratically and was all over the roadway. Deputy Welsh and an officer both patrolled the area but were unable to locate anyone.
1:10 A.M. Assisted Deputy Welsh on State Route 108 in reference to a report of domestic violence where the victim had been beaten with a shovel and the suspect had fled on foot.
3:10 A.M. Assisted Deputy Welsh with the apprehension of the suspect from a domestic violence incident earlier this night. The subject had made threats of suicide. The subject was taken into custody without incident.
12:17 P.M. Complainant reported his vehicle ran into the Duke gas station.
3:40 P.M. An officer assisted M. C. S. O. deputies with a fight at Hidden lakes.
7:00 P.M. The complainant contacted station and advised his soon to be ex-wife was abusing his 5 year old daughter. The complainant stated he lives in New Vienna Ohio, but his wife lives in the village. The complainant stated his daughter claimed that his soon to be ex-wife hits her when she gets mad. The officer asked the complainant if his daughter had any physical marks on her person and he stated no. The officer made contact with the soon to be ex-wife and she stated this was an on going problem and that the complainant was trying to get custody of their daughter.
8:19 P.M. Cited and released a female subject for theft on West MarionRoad.
8:51 P.M. Dispatch advised a female subject was requesting an officer at her residence on Buckeye Lane because she was getting into a argument with her father about her food stamps. The officer advised both parties that the female subject is an adult and she could do what she pleased with her food stamps.
10:29 P.M. Dispatch advised of a suspicious person/ car at the Brookhaven apartments. Dispatch advised the caller said there was a gold Buick by the entrance and had two occupants. An officer made contact with the driver and he stated he was there to help his friend. The female advised it was her car. The officer advised them that he received a call of a suspicious vehicle and the female advised that she lives there.
4:15 A.M. While of foot patrol at Napa, the officer found the rear entrance to be unsecure. The officer observed no signs of forced entry. The officer checked the building and secured the door.
11:45 P.M. Complainants vehicle was parked in North Walnut Street. A vehicle backed from parking space on North Walnut street and struck the complainants vehicle.
10:35 P.M. While conducting a foot patrol the officer located an open door at the back of the business on Marion Road. The officer checked the building and everything appeared ok but I could not secure the door. Dispatch made contact with the key holder who responded to secure it.
11:40 A.M. Officer Clark from Galion Police requested an officer make contact with a resident on West Elm Street. Officer Clark asked if contact was made to have the resident contact him at his office. Chief Zerman went to the residence and found it to be vacant. Officer Clark was notified.
6:25 P.M. The complainant reported that his girlfriend and his daughter were having an argument and he was afraid it would become physical at the 300 block of West High Street. The officer went to the residence and spoke with both parties, regarding the argument. They advised that they did have an argument but that things were not going to become physical.
7:13 P.M. Dispatch requested a respond with Deputy Colter and Sergeant hall to a domestic on county road 9. The report was that both the male and female were intoxicated and that the male had weapons. The male was arrested and several weapons were confiscated.
8:45 P.M. The complainant reported that her neighbor broke her light outside her apartment on Park Avenue.
7:50 A.M. Fire control advised of a non breather at the 200 block of East Union Street.
Upon arrival the officer assisted E.M.S. until they transported the patient to the Morrow County Hospital.
8:20 A.M. Fire control advised E.M.S. units were requesting an officer at the hospital. Upon arrival the officer met with E.M.S. and the Medic. They advised they hadn’t requested an officer didn’t know why the dispatcher had sent me. The officer cleared the scene
11:15 P.M. Complainant reported her juvenile daughter missing in the 300 block of Douglas Street.
