UPDATE 04.02.14 - A one car accident on State Route 95 Tuesday morning sent a young driver to Morrow County Hospital.
Jordan Piper, 20, Kenton, was westbound on SR 95 in Canaan Twp. about 9:35 a.m. and came upon the curve at the CR 69 intersection. The Ohio State Patrol said Piper drove off the right side of the road into a ditch, became airborne, struck a tree and rolled to a stop across County Road 69.
Piper told officers she did not recall the crash and may not have been wearing a seat belt. A motorist who came upon the scene said the driver was out of the car when he arrived, but it is not known if she was ejected from or climbed out of the vehicle.
Emergency personnel at the scene said it appeared the car may have flipped end over end several times. Piper was transported by Morrow County EMS to Morrow County Hospital.
The Ohio State Patrol stated the driver may have fallen asleep, fainted or experienced fatigue and was cited for operating without reasonable control and not wearing a seat belt.
