The generosity of the Mount Gilead Lions Club and the Morrow County Community Center, plus sunshine equals a successful annual Easter Egg Hunt.

For the first time in several years Mother Nature cooperated and present the Morrow County kids a gorgeous morning to hunt Easter eggs. You could not ordered better weather, especially following the long and cold winter Ohio has experienced.

The grounds were slightly saturated from the spring rain earlier in the week, but the 60-degree morning brought the Easter Bunny out prior to the mad dash for eggs to greet children and offer photographs with them as they arrived. Even though the hunt only lasts a few minutes, the event and the day’s warm and sunny weather was a good excuse for families to come out to the annual event, sponsored by the Mount Gilead Lions Club and Morrow County Community Center.

Once again the Mount Gilead State Park hosted the event. Families lingered following the hunt to explore the Nature Center and take advantage of the State Park’s recreational playgrounds.
