07/09/14 - 7:14 p.m. - A Monday afternoon accident sent one woman to a local hospital.


Emergency responders were called to the intersection of State Route 61 and Township Road 115 in Gilead Township at approximately 4:30 p.m. on a report of a two vehicle injury accident.


Robert Matis of Westerville was southbound on State Route 61 driving a Honda Accord Crosstour when a Pontiac Sunfire going westbound on Township Road 115 failed to stop at a stop sign.


The driver of the Pontiac was identified as Robert Gilmore. Gilmore sustained minor injuries as did a child who was in a child safety seat in the rear of the vehicle. Gilmore’s passenger Faith Black had to be extracted from the vehicle and was transported to Morrow County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.


Gilmore stated that he was going to get a ride from a family member and have them drive him and the child to the hospital to be checked.


Units from Morrow County EMS, Mt. Gilead Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
