I would like to publicly thank those that were involved with the MG School Levy Committee. There was a great deal of time and effort put into this campaign by a lot of folks! Last time it was a 60/40 loss but this time we closed in and were 115 votes away from passing this levy. I would consider this to be a success!
Thank you to all those involved with brainstorming, painting and putting up signs, distribution of yard signs, donating to the levy fund, and more! And we could not have done this without your help, Karen Hartman! I know you have been through a lot over the years and your wisdom shows in all that you do!
Special thanks to Kortney Brinkman, Tammie Masters, Missy Kidwell, Pete and Rhonda Dettra, Annie Fraizer, Bill Baldwin, Steve Rotermund of Doolittle’s Chicken Company, Shirley Hatfield at Hatfield’s Kitchen, Patti Collins at Edison Depot, and Karen McClelland of Sames & Cook. All of you are inspiring parents, business owners, and members of this school district! Thank you to the community and supporters who voted YES. It’s not just an impact on my kids. It’s an impact on this community as a whole.
Better schools bring more folks to live here in the area, which brings more business, which brings more customers, which brings more revenue to our community. As a business person in Mt. Gilead, I know that this is good for everyone! We need to support our kids in any way that we can! They are future leaders in the making! Let’s get a YES next time!
