To the Editor;
As I watched the evening news last Thursday on channel 10, I was surprised to see the picture of a local couple who lost their lives in a recent tragic accident. Then, as I listened, my emotions went from sickened to angry! All I could think of was the family who had just laid their loved ones to rest and are still trying to cope with it all, being victimized once again!
I could immediately see through what I believe is a political move. God help you who would stoop this low to make your point at others’ sorrow! We will find you out!
We all heard the controversy about EMS. We citizens are all encouraged to “keep business local,” but guess that doesn’t apply to our county government’s decisions. According to information on the news, this was over 30 seconds time difference. It would not have mattered in this case.
For the record, I hear sirens daily where I live and each time, my heart goes out to someone in need. I think how welcome that sound would be if I was the recipient of their service! Thank you to each and every one of our dedicated responders! Some of us greatly appreciate you!
