The Fredericktown defense proved too stout for Cardington on Friday when the host Freddies captured a 42-21 win from the Pirates.
The Freddies jumped out to a 15-5 lead after the first quarter and increased it to a 29-14 margin by the half.
After both teams scored five in the third quarter, Fredericktown finished off their win by taking the fourth by an 8-2 score.
Kirsten Dever led Cardington with seven points.
The Highland Lady Scots hosted North Union last Monday in a game where the high-powered Wildcat offense led the Union County team to an 82-21 win.
North Union jumped out to a 21-5 lead after the first quarter and went out to outscore the Scots 23-6 in the second period, 20-8 in the third and 18-2 in the fourth to pull away for the win.
For the Scots, Kayla Davies had a team-high six points.
Centerburg jumped out to a fast start on Friday at Northmor and didn’t look back in taking a 69-41 decision.
The Trojans jumped out to a 28-6 lead after eight minutes of play.
Northmor was able to outscore their opponents 15-13 in the second quarter, but Centerburg was able to add to their lead in the second half by taking a 28-20 advantage over those 16 minutes.
Kyndall Williams led the Knights with 12 ponts, while Allie Tupps added 10.
