A strong defensive performance put host Highland over Mount Gilead on Saturday by a 57-33 score.
The Scots took a 17-7 lead after one period and led 24-13 at the half. They would go on to outscore the Indians 14-7 in the third period and 19-13 in the fourth to pick up the win.
Jett Swetland led the Scots with 18 points, while Curtis Belcher added 16. For the Indians, Xavier Harris scored 10 and Elijah Keen added nine.
The previous night saw Highland win another home game; this time by a 64-44 margin over Ridgedale.
The Scots dominated the first half, outscoring the Rockets 14-7 in the first quarter and 19-8 in the second to take a 33-15 lead in the break. They added two points to their advantage over the final two quarters to win by 20.
Swetland led the team with 25 points, while Ryan Burt added 16 and Belcher scored nine. Swetland also had 13 rebounds.
Cardington won two of three games last week, including a Blue Division match-up with Centerburg.
On Wednesday, the Pirates jumped out to a big lead and held on for a 63-50 win at East Knox.
The Pirates led 17-9 after the opening period and increased that advantage to a 33-19 score by halftime and a 52-30 margin after three periods in the win.
Tyler Dornon paced Cardington with 22 points, while Cole Hess added 17, Mitch Yake tallied 11 and Mason Richardson scored eight.
The Pirates then executed a late comeback to shock the host Centerburg Trojans on Friday.
Centerburg took a 22-12 lead after the opening period and still was up by eight entering the final period of play. However, Cardington took the final eight minutes by a 21-10 margin to finish with a 63-60 win.
The Pirates had balanced scoring in the game, as Yake finished with 17, Mac Thompson scored 16, Dornon added 11, Hess had 10 and Richardson tallied nine.
On Saturday, Cardington led North Union 8-5 after the opening period, but the Wildcats controlled the rest of the way in taking a 63-39 win.
By halftime, North Union held a 22-18 lead and then the Wildcats outscored the Pirates 18-13 in the third period and 23-8 in the fourth to pull away.
Hess finished with 19, hitting five three-pointers in the contest.
Northmor rebounded from their loss to Mount Gilead with a 60-55 win over Elgin Saturday.
