Many schools throughout the state, including Cardington, participate in the annual fruit sale. Last October, the Cardington FFA began its sale and during the week of December 5, students began delivery of the fruit to their customers. As a whole the chapter benefits from the sale as do the chapter’s individuals. Each item a student sells he or she makes a profit.
This is the chapter’s best fund raiser which results in a large profit. This money is used throughout the year for all kinds of FFA activities.
Students used their personal profit to make a donation to the recent Adopt-A-Family program or they made payments to their upcoming Chicago trip. The students were also rewarded with a group pizza party during the December meeting. This year’s sale was the largest it has ever conducted. There was also a 100% participation which led the chapter to achieve yet another one of its goals.
