Twist and Shoot played and community members in attendance at the June 19 Hula Hoop Hop for the Cure tried their best to keep their hips moving and the hula hoop groovin’! Their efforts paid off in the amount of $2,400 with pledges, cash gifts and the freewill donation lunch.

In the background “Oolong Gurus” set the mood for the afternoon by playing the Oldies, but Goodies. The local band donated their services for the event.

According to their guitarist, ”It is the most fun we have had supporting a worthy cause all summer.”

The afternoon offered fun for the entire family with Hula Hoop Waist Spin, Walk Your Hoop, Hoop Arm Spin and What Distance can you spin your Hoop contest.
