The Morrow County Junior Fair is ready for another exciting fair and have prepared well for the event which begins August 25 and continues through Labor Day.
Julie Logan, the Junior Fair Coordinator, said entries are running about normal with the largest entries in the rabbit and poultry departments.
Highlights of the many activities and events include the crowning of the 2014 king and queen on Tuesday, August 26, at 6:30 pm in the Youth Building. This follows the annual Ohio Royalty dinner to be served at 5:00.
Following the talent show at 8 pm there will be a dance in the Youth Building. There will also be a dance Sunday evening at 7 pm.
The grand entry and the king and queen presentation will take place at the Horse Complex at 9 am Wednesday morning.
The Favorite Food Contest will take place Thursday morning in the youth building and later in the afternoon at 3 pm the popular dog show will be held.
On Friday, the Barnyard Olympics will be held in the small arena.
There will be horse contests in the horse arena every day with awards made Saturday.
There will be judging events every day.
The annual junior fair awards program will be held at the grandstand on Sunday at 12:30 pm followed by the Showman of Showman The livestock sale is scheduled for Labor Day and will be followed by the Pinewood Derby/ Cook-off in the Youth Building.
The Morrow County Junior Fair Board has worked tirelessly with these programs and it promises to be another banner year at the Morrow County Fair.
