Meeting in a special session, the Cardington-Lincoln Board of Education completed a Consent Agenda and approved several financial actions.
The Consent Agenda included approval of the following resignations: Benjamin Thiel, Junior High Math, effective July 1, 2014; Laura Williams, elementary intervention, effective June 30, 2014 and Jennifer Stovall, high school guidance, June 10, 2014.
The following new certified staff members were each approved for a one year limited contract: Beau Wolford, junior high Science; Heather Hale and Sarah Flanagan, each Pre-school.
Supplemental contracts were approved for FY 15 for Beau Wolford, high school football assistant coach; Erik Kyrk, head coach, cross country and Troy King, head coach, golf.
Kimberly McGuire was approved for a one year limited contract as custodian.
Heather Langat was approved as a substitute sub aide and also as a sub custodian.
Jerry Williams was approved for an extended 20 days for FY 15. Scott McKenzie was approved as a football volunteer.
Classified positions for the Cardington Special Education Preschool approved included preschool aide (one to one) six hours per day; and two preschool aides, each seven hours per day and each of the three four days per week.
Stipends for FY 14 were approved for Ginger Holloway, HSTW Coordinator and Corie Moore, MMGW Coordinator, each $500.
The board authorized the treasurer to complete the necessary transfers and advances in order to reconcile and balance all accounts for FY 2014; approved the FY 14 modifications to Estimated Resources and Appropriations of the Fund levels and approved the
FY 2014 Final appropriations at the Fund level. Also approved were the FY 2015 Temporary Appropriations and Estimated Resources at the Fund levels and they approved the closing of two specific bank accounts effective June 30, 2014 with FC Bank as these accounts are no longer needed.
The board entered into a 20 minute executive session based on ORC 121.22 (G) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. There was no more business transacted.
The board will not meet formally in July. The next meeting will be held August 11, 2014.
