David Jeffrey Foster, age 37, of Marengo, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
David was born on July 15, 1976 in Columbus, the son of Jeffrey Emerson and the late Cheryl Lee (Harmon) Foster. He attended Reynoldsburg High School and graduated in the class of 1995. On April 2, 2003, David was united in marriage to Regina Mae Harris in Newark, Ohio.
David was an avid sports fan. He could be found cheering on any OSU team, the Chicago Bears and Bulls and the Cincinnati Reds. Above all, his greatest passion was his children. He had the great honor of being a stay-at-home father and relished every minute.
He is survived by his wife Regina Mae Foster; his devoted children: Leigha Jane, Elizabeth Marie “Boo-Boo”, David Jeffrey, Jr., “Bubby Jr.”, Christopher Collin, Samantha Lee Ann and Abygale Michelle Foster; his father and step-mother Jeffrey Emerson and Mary Ellen Foster; Parents-in-law Linda and Neil Phillips; Siblings: Matthew Emerson Foster, Michael Thomas Taylor, Jennifer Lee (Kelly) Short and Stephanie Marie (Nathaniel Mitchell) Pennell and many beloved family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 North Main St., Mt. Gilead from 4 pm to 7 pm; Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Marengo United Methodist Church, 8 N Main St, Marengo, OH, at 1 pm with Rev. David Roberson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family at any Chase Bank in the name of Regina Foster.
