To the Editor,

In a recent letter to the Editor the writer stated that in our country 30,000 Americans are killed each year by our own guns; that we are all at risk and the national Congress and the Ohio Statehouse do nothing to reduce that risk; that universal background checks would keep abusive people from getting guns at gun shows and private sales; that people with a record of attempting suicide could be kept from buying a gun and killing themselves; and that the number of people killed in mass shootings would be reduced by reducing the size of magazines.

Let us give this some thought. I believe anyone bent on killing someone or on suicide would do the deed anyway without a gun, or with or without a small amount of bullets. There are hundreds of laws on the books against violence that stop law-abiding citizens from doing harm to others. So would law breakers obey new laws? I believe this is another anti-gun liberal that would like to do away with the second amendment. I believe she agrees with our “liar and cheat” that occupies the White House. He would love to be able to confiscate people’s guns. He takes every opportunity to lie and divide with statements such as “The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world.” I did a little research and following is what I found. Maybe he lied again.
