No injuries in Tuesday semi accident in Cardington

07.29.14 - U.S. 42 in Cardington was closed for part of Tuesday afternoon when the driver of a semi tractor trailer failed to negotiate the curve just past the Duke station and rolled the truck onto its side on the bridge, coming to rest in front of Water Street. The accident occurred about 1:15 p.m.The driver (not yet named) escaped injury and there was no apparent fuel or fluid spill. Residents gathered around to watch officers take measurements and information. Cardington Police Chief John Hinton interviewed witnesses and the driver. It is possible the load inside the semi trailer shifted when the driver rounded the curve.
