NBC4, WQIO to do live segments from Sweet Corn Festival

This year’s Annual Sweet Corn Festival in Mt. Gilead has attracted the attention of NBC4 and WQIO 93.7, who will both be at the festival doing live segments.Friday evening from 5 - 7 p.m., WQIO will be broadcasting from the Car Show, held from 6 - 10 pm downtown. The 4th Annual Car Show is open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles and registration is free. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Judging is at 7:30 pm and awards will be presented at 8 pm. Sponsors for the live segment are Jellystone Park, NAPA, D & C Tire, Showplace Rent to Own and Ours Excavating.

Barn lost to Thursday fire in Bennington Twp.

07/17/14 - A Thursday afternoon fire destroyed a barn in the 4400 block Twp. Road 214 in Bennington Township.The call went out about 4:46 p.m. and the structure was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The Morrow County Sheriffs Department recently received a generous donation of a kennel from the Dan Emmett Kennel Club to be used for Dixie the county K9 officer.
