The Mount Gilead Alumni Association held its annual banquet on Saturday, September 27, 2014.Approximately 40 alumni attended and enjoyed the meal catered by Cornerstone Cafe. Entertainment was provided by the Mt. Gilead Show Choir under the direction of Randy Mann. The Show Choir performed several crowd pleasing numbers. Band members worked as servers for this year’s Alumni Banquet.Mt. Gilead Mayor Mike Porter served as the emcee for the evening introducing the featured speaker, local historian Stan Sipe, a 1977 Mt. Gilead graduate.

The Big Walnut Joint Fire District has received a custom made fire extinguisher training prop constructed by Marengo Fabricated Steel, Ltd. Human Society donates funds for new shelter

On October 15th the Humane Society of Morrow County presented the Morrow County Dog Shelter with a $1,000 check.
