For only having seven athletes on their roster, the Gilead Christian girls’ track team finished with an incredibly successful season.

Five of those seven girls earned the right to compete in the Division III state track and field meet, which was held at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus last Friday and Saturday. Of that number, four placed in two events.

“The percentage of us making it equals God,” said senior Kyla Morgan, who competed in four events during the two-day meet. “You can’t add that up any other way.”
