There were 231 vehicles participating in the 40th annual Rod ‘N Tiques Car Show held at the Morrow County Fairgrounds, June 18-19.

Trophy winners in the Saturday competition were: Bob Olson, with a 1940 Ford Pickup; Roger Ruth, 1967 Pontiac GTO: Vince Godderd, 1942 International Pickup; Tina Jones, 1987 Tanner Trike and David and Becky Baker, 1968 BMX.

Sunday winners were Ed and Linda Post, 1936 Ford Cabriolet; Brett Gilmore, 1939 Chevy Rot Rod; Steve Gear, 1932 Ford Roadster; Steve Andrix, 1948 Ford Anglia; Frank Agriesti, 1967 Mercury Cougar; Dan and Vicky Perry, 1961 Chevy; Lyle Lefever, 98 Oldsmobile; Dwayne Everly, 1955 Studebaker Commander; Jim and Paula Hough, 1957 Chevy Belair; Bruce Schopp; 1964 Chevy Corvette; Ray Cole, 1940 Chevy Special Deluxe; Nancy Russel, 1940 Chevy Coupe; Pat O’Leary, 1955 Mercury; Barbara Beer, 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88; Chris Sanborn, 1969 Dodge Dart GT; Harold Williams, 1949 Olds 98; Don Snyder, 1929 Hudson four-door; Don Cozzo, 1964 Pontiac GTO;

The Show Favorite was a 1952 Chevy Truck shown by Doug Strong.

A special trophy was awarded to Olivia Strong for the stroller duplicating in miniature form her grandfather’s 1937 Phantom V8 Ford.

The Dog Shelter award went to Scott Burgraff with a Chevy Biscayne Model Car contest winners were Sydnie Wilson, first with a 1969 GTS 383 Dodge Dart and second place was Laynee Wilson, 1970 426 Hemi Plymouth Cuda.

Other contest winners were TOILET PAPER TOSS: Matt Bedell, adult winner; Lily Garish, kid’s winner; FAN BELT TOSS: Matt Bedell, adult winner; and Cadie Long with five belts, the kids’ winner; CREEPER RACE: Christian Holloway, adult winner and Lily Garish, kids’ winner; BLIND DRIVER RACE: Winning Team: Adults: Jacob Strong and Doug Strong, 26.60 seconds; Winning team: Kids: Lily Garish and Fellyse Garish, 55.8 seconds; WATER BALLOON TOSS: Winning Team: Mike Long and Cori Long.

The Rod ‘N Tiques Car Club was organized 40 years ago by Bud Lemley who remains active with them. Officers are Damon Cooper, president; Ron Redman, vice president; Pat Redman, treasurer; and Cheri Monroe, secretary. New members are welcome.
