The Mount Gilead girls’ cross country team finished first at the Bob Reall Invitational at Lancaster on Saturday.

The team was led by Baylee Hack, who was the first individual runner to cross the finish line. Her time was 20:05. Hannah Bush was fifth in 21:32 and Darcy Picker ran sixth in 22:06. Maddie Fitzpatrick was eighth in 22:31, while Micah James took 10th in 22:57. Bridgette Millisor finished 14th in 23:10 and Jadyn Shipman was 30th in 24:34.

In the open race, Savannah Randall was 108th, Zoie Barron took 241st, Dakota Shipman was 283rd, Deani Smith ran 287th, Monica Lawrence placed 290th and Kelly Baer was 302nd.

The boys’ team finished second in their race with Austin Hallabrin giving the Indians a clean sweep in the individual championships, as he won in 16:55. Casey White was fourth in 17:20, Nick Weiss ran sixth in 17:35 and Liam Dennis placed ninth in 17:45. Brandon Stevens was 17th in 18:35, while Kyle White took 21st in 19:03 and Riley Conners’ time of 19:29 was good for 24th place.

In the open race, Trevor Ball was third, Colton Clark took ninth, Gavin Robinson placed 15th, Gavvin Keen ran 21st, Tyler Clark was 22nd, Sy Shipman placed 25th, Connor Page ran 36th, Nathan Johnson took 20:47, Isaac George placed 53rd and Josh Brown ran 63rd.

Cardington and Gilead Christian also ran at Lancaster. The Lady Pirates took fifth place in the nine-team Division III race. Emily Benson finished 15th in 23:10 to lead Cardington, while Alicia McElwee was 17th in 23:38, Taylor Linkous finished 24th in 24:24, Jessica Shook ran 30th in 24:48, Bailey Shafer claimed 45th in 27:52 and Ashlee Drury took 59th in 36:55.

The boys didn’t have a full team. Quinn Maceyko placed 20th in 18:56 and Greg Osborne took 29th in 19:51. Also, Sonny Grooms was 43rd in 21:23 and Spencer Benson placed 45th in 21:43.

For Gilead Christian, who also competed in the boys’ race without a full team, Sean Linder was 23rd in 19:49.7 and Justin Jones placed 44th in 20:35.5.

Northmor Knights

Northmor ran at the Ontario Bill Brown Invitational on Saturday, with the girls’ team finishing third to Centerburg and Shelby in the Gold race.

Jessica Duryea led the team by running eighth in 20:59.78, while Samantha Peters was 19th in 21:06.05 and Maria Lee finished 20th in 21:56.44. Sabrina Kelley ran 27th in 22:29.6 and Julianna Ditullio claimed 34th place in 22:54.99. Brooke Bennett took 36th in 23:06.47, while Brooke Huntsman finished 39th in 23:18.98.

Also, Samantha Grogg was 41st, Selena Cortez finished 50th, Carolyn McGaulley took 78th, Francesa Cutrupi placed 87th, Madison Christo ran 94th, Tori Carver claimed 96th and Allyssa Pearce ran 105th.

The boys’ team finished fourth in the Blue race, with James Walker finishing sixth in 18:06.17. A.J. White took 14th in 18:31.19 and Mostyn Evans ran 20th in 18:59.92. Ryan Bentley finished 22nd in 19:03.62 and B.J. White placed 24th in 19:09.77, while Alec Moore was 41st in 19:53.31 and Manny Heilman took 44th in 19:58.96.

Also, Kyle Price finished 63rd, Calvin Komer took 65th, Kolton Hart ran 68th, Austin Amens placed 71st, Ethan Chapman was 92nd and Josh Cramer ran 97th.

Highland Scots

Highland’s boys placed eighth of 17 teams at Saturday’s Black River Invitational. Dalton Lee was 29th in 18:00.7 to lead the Scots, while Branton Howard took 37th in 18:13.4 and Collin Kipp took 48th in 18:38.4. Tyler Bowen placed 55th in 18:52 and Christian Miller took 77th in 19:20.7, while Christian Buchholz ran 88th in 19:36.6 and Zach Wetzel placed 93rd in 19:44.9.

Also, Chandler Bumpus was 99th, Bruce Jordan took 103rd, Jacob Serio placed 117th, Nefiano Bumpus was 118th, Jimmy Tebbe ran 119th, Luke Rinehart finished 122nd, Bode Sardinha placed 127th, Caleb Carder was 163rd and Chase Higgins finished 185th.

The girls’ team finished 12th in their meet, with Sophia Thompson placing 16th in 21:10.7 and Laura Spearman taking 23rd in 21:25.4. Elizabeth Jenkins took 72nd place in 23:50.9 and Jenna Brown was 96th in 25:01.1. Hailey Howard finished 111th in 25:47.3, Madison Cecil ran 113th with a time of 25:55.2 and Samantha Trusler took 114th in 25:59.6.

Also, Clarissa Dudgeon finished 130th and Morgan Bailey was 162nd.
