Northmor pulled away from visiting Elgin in overtime to take a 44-35 win Thursday.

In moving to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in league play, the Knights trailed through much of the first half, with Elgin holding a 10-9 lead after the opening period of play and then up 19-14 at the half. Northmor battled back in the third quarter to take a 28-26 lead. Elgin sent the game to overtime at 33-33, but the Knights outscored them 11-2 in the extra session to win.

Cristianna Boggs led the Knights with 15 points, while Maddie Swihart hit three three-pointers on her way to 13. Also, Lindsey Wiseman scored eight.

Highland Scots

Centerburg used a big second quarter to outscore host Highland by a 46-35 margin Thursday.

The Trojans led 11-8 after the first quarter, but outscored the Scots 16-4 in the second period to lead 27-12 at the half. Highland took the second half by a 23-19 margin, but would not be able to catch up to Centerburg.

Taylor Belcher led Highland with nine points, while Harlee Steck and Kenzie Fuller both tallied eight.
