One bad inning doomed Highland in a Wednesday rematch with DeSales.

Highland gave up seven runs in the third inning and couldn’t recover in a 7-5 loss. They scored twice in the fifth and three more in the sixth, but could not completely catch up to their hosts in the non-league contest.

Mack Anglin suffered the loss, while Kyle Munday and Colten Liszkai kept the team in the game with strong relief pitching. Offensively, Clay Matthews had two hits and Reese Weissenfluh added a double.
