Friday night was a good one for fans of Cardington, Mount Gilead and Northmor football, as all three teams earned their first wins of the season.
Mount Gilead smashed visiting Ridgemont by a 48-12 margin to improve to 1-1 on the season. Both Cardington and Northmor improved to .500 on the road, with the Pirates topping Riverdale 39-20 and the Knights edging Worthington Christian by a 25-19 margin.
All three teams will conclude the non-conference portion of their schedule next Friday. Cardington will host South Central, Mount Gilead will travel to Northridge and Northmor will visit Lucas.
