The Highland Scots got into the win column in emphatic fashion on Friday, trouncing host East Knox by a 41-0 margin.

The Scots simply outran their opponents, putting up 328 yards on the ground. For the game, Highland tallied 364 total yards, while holding the Bulldogs to 70.

Highland had a commanding lead after the opening period, as a 31-yard scoring run by Alex Wright was followed by touchdowns of 23 and four yards by Jared Limings. Satchel Denton was 3-for-3 kicking extra points in that quarter and 5-for-6 for the game, as the Scots led 21-0 after 12 minutes.

They would get a 37-yard run by Wright in the second quarter, a four-yard dash by Limings in the third and a four-yard score by Josh Cantrell in the fourth to steadily add to their lead over the remainder of the game.

Northmor Knights

Northmor got off to a fast start at home against Centerburg on Friday, but a disastrous second quarter doomed them to a 44-18 defeat.

Both Jake Farley and Gunnar Lilly scored on one-yard runs in the first quarter, as the Knights jumped out to a 12-7 lead. However, the Trojans would dominated the second period, scoring three touchdowns and recording a safety, as they leapt ahead by a 30-12 margin.

Demetrius Johnson scored on a 55-yard run in the third quarter to bring the Knights within 12 points, but their opponents would finish the game with two touchdowns to provide their final 14 points.

Johnson ran for 113 yards in the contest, while Farley completed seven passes for 128. Frank Keller caught three of those balls for 95 yards.
