Jacob Long of Cardington-Lincoln claimed the Crestline Cross Country Invitational individual championship for the fourth consecutive season on Tuesday at Amann Reservoir Park.

The senior finished the 5-kilometer course in 15 minutes, 39.62 seconds to lead the Pirates to a third-place finish in the team standings. Long edged Chad Johnson of Colonel Crawford for the top individual honors. The Eagles’ sophomore came in second with a time of 15:51.09.

With four runners in the top 10 and five athletes among the top 15 finishers, Colonel Crawford captured the team title at the Crestline Invitational for the fourth consecutive year and the fifth time since 2007. The Eagles tallied 33 points. Fredericktown was the runner-up with 44 points. Cardington-Lincoln scored 107 points to take third place and Northmor came in fourth with 121 points.

Colonel Crawford’s Brad Bauer finished fifth with a time of 16:34.47. Nick Studer claimed seventh place, completing the course in 17:03.42. Brandon Long finished in eighth place, posting a time of 17:19.1. Wade Hopkins was the Eagles’ No. 5 man, finishing in 11th place with a time of 17:29.87.

Three Freddies finished in the top 10, led by Wyat Harmon and Bailey Gannon. Harmon placed third with a time of 16:16.33. Gannon came in fourth with a time of 16:25.29. Zac Stalnaker took third place, finishing in 16:36.14.

Fredericktown’s Bradley Wolford came in 15th place with a time of 17:37.74. Teammate Wil Overholt placed 16th with a time of 17:39.3.

Joining Long in the top 10 for Cardington-Lincoln was Josh Queener. He placed ninth with a time of 17:22.61. Mike Queener came in 23rd place with a time of 17:58.39. Quinn Maceyko finished 29th with a time of 18:22.34. Greg Osborne was the Pirates’ final runner to score, finishing in 65th place with a time of 19:52.9.

Northmor’s Spencer Adams was the top finisher for the Knights. He placed 13th with a time of 17:36.42. A.J. White came in 21st place with a time of 17:55.7. James Walker claimed 27th place with a time of 18:21.02. Alec Moore finished 33rd with a time of 18:48.52. B.J. White was the final Knight to score, finishing in 38th place with a time of 19:06.36.

Carson Pirnstill of Bucyrus led the Redmen to fifth place in the team standings. He finished 12th, posting a time of 17:36.07. His Bucyrus teammates turned in the following results: Dakota Hedrick (18th, 17:41.89), Noah Johnson (36th, 18:59.46), Devon Sigler (54th, 19:33.57), Kaden Wilson (64th, 19:50.62).

Wynford placed ninth in the team results led by Donnie Brooks, who came in 32nd place with a time of 18:45.17. Here’s how the rest of the Royals’ top five fared: Seth Karcher (48th, 19:27.55), Joshua Rose (57th, 19:38.91), Matthew Hall (66th, 19:55.58), Timothy Chandler (94th, 21:07.27).

Galion placed 11th in the team standings, going with a younger lineup for the Crestline Invitational. Luke Eisnaugle was the top runner for the Tigers, finishing in 39th place with a time of 19:07.25. Weston Rose finished 49th with a time of 19:28.36. Mikey Stover came in 78th place with a time of 20:19.44. Spencer Guinther placed 85th, posting a time of 20:33.63. Kyle Bauer was the No. 5 man for the Tigers, finishing 100th with a time of 21:23.22.

Host Crestline finished 12th in the team table. Kaleb Carver led the way for the Bulldogs, finishing in 46th place with a time of 19:26.38. Kevin Winkler posted a time of 19:56.99 to claim 68th place. Noah Hunt placed 95th with a time of 21:09.28. Brian Wonder finished 114th with a time of 22:24.54. Andrew Burton placed 129th with a time of 24:00.27.

Though his team didn’t figure in the final standings, Brad Mohre of Gilead Christian finished in 24th place. His time was 18:09.34. Teammate Sean Linder placed 37th with a time of 19:00.07. Justin Jones finished in 73rd place, posting a time of 20:04.99.

Buckeye Central’s Trenton Langjahr came in 34th place, finishing the course in 18:51.44. Teammate James Cronau placed 113th with a time of 22:18.72.
