Cardington got their girls’ basketball season off to a good start with a 61-48 win at home against Danville on Saturday.

Highland Scots

The Highland girls opened their season Saturday by dropping a 37-29 decision against Utica.

A poor second quarter proved to be the culprit for the Scots. After finishing the first quarter only behind 6-4, they were outscored 15-6 in the second.

They would take the third 11-3, but still trailed 24-21. Utica would then take a 13-8 advantage in the fourth quarter to finish on top in the contest.

Northmor Knights
