Cardington broke a two-game losing streak in emphatic fashion on Monday, dominating the early going in beating Fredericktown 70-58.

The score was 16-8 in favor of the Pirates after one quarter and they increased that lead to a 36-22 margin at the half. After three periods, it was 53-38 and Cardington would hold on to win by 12.

Sage Brannon led all scorers with 22 points, while Paige Clinger added 15. Summer Morgan hit a trio of three-pointers on her way to 12 points and Kyndall Spires finished with 10.
