Northmor’s boys’ basketball team got off to a fast start and didn’t let up in taking a 57-42 non-conference win over Clear Fork on Tuesday.

In the first quarter, Northmor jumped out to a 19-10 lead and then increased on it throughout the rest of the game. They were up 28-18 at the half and 43-31 after three quarter before winning by 15.

Brock Pletcher drained four three-pointers and tallied 21 points, while Demetrius Johnson added 12, Gunnar Lilly finished with 10 and Tyler Kegley scored eight.

Cardington Pirates

Cardington battled back to top North Union in a non-conference road game on Tuesday.

The Pirates trailed after each of the first three quarters, as North Union led 13-12 after the opening eight minutes, 25-21 at the half and 30-29 with one period left to play. However, Cardington took the fourth 18-12 to finish on top 47-42.

Derek Goodman hit four three-pointers on his way to an 18-point night, while Devin Pearl added 12 and Garrett Wagner scored nine.
