Cardington claimed the Blue Division title at the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference bowling tournament, hosted by Victory Lanes in Galion.

The Pirates finished with 3435 pins to finish third overall behind Red champ Buckeye Valley and Jonathan Alder. Highland took sixth with 3082 pins, Northmor was 10th with 2754 and Mount Gilead finished 12th with 2508. A total of 13 teams took place in the meet, with East Knox being the only MOAC school without a team.

For Cardington, John Wilhelm rolled a three-game total of 548 to finish as the Blue Division’s individual champion. He tied Spencer Milligan of Buckeye Valley for overall honors. Jacob Long had 526 pins, while Austin Edgell tallied 518 and Blake Clapham added 452. Also rolling at least one game were Austin Yake and Dallas Crum.

Highland was led by Devin Schoellkopf’s 500 pins. Dana Hicks finished with 433, Joey Bennett added 432, Jordan Grizzle rolled 405 and Ben Rinehart tallied 386.

Northmor’s Andrew Yarnell had 490, while Denver Lilly rolled 435 and Devon Lilly scored 370. Gracelyn Stall, Sarah Dudley, Samantha Grogg and Hayle Lilly also rolled games.

Mount Gilead’s Tyler Bryant finished with 460, Damian Meyer tallied 338 pins and Hayden Dempsey added 305. Also seeing action were Dylan Dixion, Zachary Sellars and Jordan Levings.

In the girls’ meet, Northmor had the best local finish, placing fifth overall and second in the Blue Division with 2914 pins. The meet was won by Red Division champ Jonathan Alder (3123 pins), while third-place Fredericktown was tops in the Blue with 3095. Also, Cardington was seventh (2847), Highland took eighth (2656) and Mount Gilead was 13th (2119).

Chloe Meier topped the Knights by rolling 470 pins over three games, while Caitlin Adkins scored 437, Shelbey Lilly added 388 and Sara Drumm tallied 385. Also rolling games for Northmor were Alexis Yarnell and Peyton Vollmer.

For Cardington, Addie Wilhelm scored 463, while Brea Arnold rolled 441 and Laynee Wilson tallied 440. Kayla Eubank, Morgan Walker, Frankie Arnold and Makenzie Blake also saw action for the Pirates.

Highland got 449 pins from Halie O’Leary. Hailey Howard rolled 431, while Autumn Burson scored 405 and Sophia Thompson tallied 401 pins. Also rolling games were Erin Conner, Maddie Chaffee and Sara Keen.

Mount Gilead’s Mischelle McCoy finished with 401 pins, while Liz McAlister added 340, Kieli Griffith scored 267, Molly Krause had 249 and Makaylee Kemen tallied 197 pins.
