Highland split a doubleheader with Clear Fork Saturday, dropping the first game 4-3, but rebounding to win the second by a 6-3 margin.

After falling behind 3-0 after two innings in the first game, Highland scored three in the fourth to tie things up. However, they would be scored on in the sixth frame and wound up falling by one. Colton Liszkai suffered the loss for the Scots. Both Andrew Stillwell and Shane Carney picked up doubles for the team.

The score was 3-2 after the opening inning in the second game, but Highland would be able to get some breathing room with one fourth-inning run and two more in the fifth. The Colts attempted a seventh-inning comeback, but were stopped after scoring once.

Justin Robinson only surrendered two hits in five innings to pick up the win, while Conner Ulrey earned the save. Carney had a pair of doubles to highlight the Scot offense.

Northmor Knights

On Friday, Northmor was edged by East Knox 2-1 in eight innings. The game was a pitchers’ duel until the seventh frame, when both teams scored once. East Knox would then tally a second score in the bottom of the eighth to claim the win.

Jake Farley suffered the hard-luck loss. He struck out six, walked two and gave up six hits while going the distance. The Knights were held to a pair of singles in the game.
