Car­roll M. Burns, age 89, of Mount Gilead, died peace­fully Mon­day morn­ing, Octo­ber 22, 2012, at the Wood­side Vil­lage Care Cen­ter fol­low­ing a two year bat­tle after suf­fer­ing a stroke.
