The Highland girls’ soccer team lost its season opener to host Mansfield Christian on Friday by a 6-2 count.
The Scots trailed by a 2-0 margin after the first half and would then be outscored 4-2 in the second. Lillian Jones had a strong day for Highland, recording both of the team’s goals.
The Scot boys also fell to Mansfield Christian. The final score of their contest was 10-0, with the Tygers scoring five goals in both halves in pulling away for the decision.
