The word got out quickly last week after a proclamation by the Morrow County Board of Commissioners that there would be free shaved ice at the Morrow Family Health Center and free ice cream cones at the Sweet Spot in Mount Gilead on Aug. 6.

Morrow Family Health Center Outreach Coordinator Nicole Rich said she got the word out at the Community Services meeting, Facebook, and at the health center inviting all to get in for a free cone. She said there were lots of smiles and thank yous since it was a hot day when many sat at the Sweet Spot under the umbrellas to enjoy their cones.

Rich thanked Care Source Health Insurance for sponsoring the ice cream treats, while the Morrow Family Health Center sponsored the free shaved ice treats.
