In a MOAC match-up hosted by Highland, the Lady Scots were able to top Galion in four sets to improve to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in league play.
Highland won the first two sets 25-15 and 25-18 before losing 25-27 in the third. However, they would bounce back to win the fourth 25-19 and earn the win.
Kameron Stover finished with 33 kills and four aces in the contest. Larsen Terrill picked up 44 assists to go with nine kills and six aces, while Reagan Maibach contributed nine kills.
Mount Gilead Indians
Mount Gilead picked up a third-set win at East Knox on Thursday, Aug. 29, but couldn’t string things together in falling in four.
In losing by scores of 10-25, 23-25, 25-18 and 22-25, MG got seven kills and four blocks by Cassady Irwin, while Brooklyn White added five kills and three blocks. Olivia Long recorded seven aces and 11 digs in the match. Faith White picked up six assists and 13 digs, while Kylee Whipple finished with 14 digs and Lindsay Ayers had 13.
