Mount Gilead Indians

After dropping the first set against visiting Plymouth Tuesday, the Mount Gilead volleyball rallied to earn its first win of the season.

Plymouth took the first set 25-14, but the Indians stormed back to claim 25-22, 25-20 and 26-24 wins in the following sets to pick up the decision.

Olivia Long tallied 10 kills and five aces in the match. Cassady Irwin contributed eight kills and seven aces. Both Lindsey Ayers and Abby Leonhard finished with six kills, with Ayers adding three aces and 10 digs and Leonhard also getting six aces. Kylee Whipple picked up 13 digs, while Katie Oliver had nine and Faith White recorded eight. Also, White tallied 13 assists and Oliver added 10.
