Scot soccer teams split with RV

Staff Report

The Highland girls’ soccer team earned a 4-0 win at home against River Valley on Monday.

The squad rode a dominant first-half performance to the win. The score was 3-0 at the intermission before the Scots added one score in the second half to wind up winning by four.

In the boys’ contest with the Vikings, which was hosted by RV, Highland was edged by a 3-2 count. The locals found themselves in a 2-0 hole at the half. While they battled back in the second half, taking a 2-1 edge over that time, they would not be able to overcome that deficit.
