Northmor picks up another win

Northmor picked up a 19-6 win at Fredericktown on Friday to remain unbeaten in football this year.

The Golden Knights (6-0, 3-0 in KMAC action) led 12-0 at the half thanks to a 33-yard touchdown run by Cowin Becker and a scoring run of 13 yards by Carson Campbell. Campbell would add a 29-yard touchdown in the third quarter to make the score 19-0 before the Freddies scored in the fourth quarter.

Campbell had 135 yards on the ground on the night, while Becker added 56. A.J. Bower completed four passes for 32 yards, with Jax Wenger having one catch for 17 yards and Becker adding two receptions for 14.

Cardington Pirates

Centerburg defeated Cardington by a 33-6 margin on Friday.

All of Cardington’s yardage came on the ground in the game, with Wyatt Denney recording 134 yards and Kalin Briggs adding 20. Denney also scored the team’s touchdown.

Mount Gilead Indians

Mount Gilead couldn’t get untracked offensively in a 20-0 loss at East Knox on Friday.

The Bulldogs got touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to open up a lead they would hold the rest of the way.

Cam Vickers picked up 48 yards on the ground, while Carson Barnum finished with 37. Cole Fricke throw for 86 yards on 7-of-13 passing.

“We had a slow start and honestly just made too many mistakes,” said head coach Mike Reid. “East Knox did a great job defensively. We just have to stay committed to working hard in practice to correct some of these mistakes we continue to make.”
