Northmor boys take first place at Crestline

The Northmor boys’ cross country team placed first in the 11-team Crestline Invitational Tuesday, finishing with a total of 56 points to top East Knox by seven.

David Blunk paced the Golden Knights by running third in 17:35.99. Vinton Naylor took 10th in 18:52.39 and Owen Yunker placed 13th in 19:09.2. Levi Hunter claimed 22nd with a time of 19:43.12, while Dane Creswell took 27th in 19:58.48. Anthony Schiebe got 28th in 20:03.39 and Carter Thomas finished 33rd in 20:22.58.

Also, Markus Parsons was 36th, Ethan Amens was 46th and Eliott Wall was 55th.

The Cardington boys were seventh in the race, with Dylan Compton running fifth with a time of 18:14.78. Riley Patterson placed 39th in 20:55.29 and Cohen Rammelsberg took 53rd in 21:44.18. Jaxon Ongalibang ran 56th in 21:50.02, Brayden Alwood finished 59th in 22:09.55, Jacob McNichols got 63rd in 22:25.72 and Brayden Rammelsberg took 72nd in 23:12.71.

Also, Hunter Jones was 83rd, Danny Townsend was 84th, C.J. Jones was 93rd and Jacob Webb was 100th.

Gilead Christian had a pair of wrestlers in the race. Seth Bertam took 29th place in 20:13.16 and Nathan Bossard finished 71st in 23:10.46.

In the girls’ race, Northmor finished second to Shelby in a seven-team event.

Leading the team was Ryann Brinkman, who finished fifth in 21:05.13. Natalie Hunter claimed 16th in 22:54.24, while Veronica Kanagy placed 18th in 23:03.7 and Shelby Cooper was 24th in 23:44.67. Kate Lehman ran 26th in 23:54.19, Macie Witherall took 27th in 24:07.95 and Hannah Ambroise picked up 29th in 24:20.05.

Also, Elizabeth Ruhl was 32nd, Maddie May was 34th, Katie Statler was 38th, Haylee Walker was 40th, Harley Barler was 54th, Ella Albert was 60th, Kaylee Pope was 71st and Ella Creswell was 72nd.

Cardington’s girls’ team placed fifth in the race. Magi Hallabrin was 10th in 22:09.11 to pace the Pirates. Dezzaray Mooney took 28th in 24:11.39 and Madison Garrabrant ran 36th in 25:07.9. Also, Chessa Redman placed 47th in 25:51.17 and Alayna Seavolt took 48th in 25:55.24.

For Gilead Christian, who didn’t have a full team, Seraiah Campbell took seventh place in 21:31.92. Also, Aryanna Green ran 43rd in 25:40.36.
