Volleyball teams see league action

On Tuesday, Northmor claimed a 3-0 win over visiting East Knox by scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-16.

Lizzie Erlsten tallied three aces, nine digs and 30 assists. Layla Castle recorded 11 kills in the contest, while Hannah James had six kills. Briez Abrams added five kills, while Kallie Wright had 12 digs and Mary Dean finished with 10.

Northmor was topped by visiting Fredericktown on Wednesday in KMAC volleyball action. The scores of the match were 25-23, 25-17 and 25-11.

Cardington Pirates

Visiting Cardington was able to avenge a KMAC loss from earlier in the season when they traveled to Danville and picked up a 23-25, 25-14, 15-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory over the Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Lundyn Blevins tallied 10 kills and five digs for the Pirates. Alexis Longsdorf had six kills, six aces and 23 assists. Madison Caulkins added five kills and Rylee Jones picked up four blocks. Both Lillia Roesky and Chloe Nida had four aces, while Celia Hall tallied three. Nida also had two blocks.

Highland Scots

The Highland volleyball team earned another MOAC win on Wednesday when they hosted River Valley.

In the 3-0 win, the Scots took the first set 25-11 before taking the next two by scores of 25-18 and 25-7.

Mount Gilead Indians

On Tuesday, Mount Gilead fell to Centerburg in a road KMAC match. Scores were 25-4, 25-6 and 25-8.
