Discount Drug Mart launches annual MDA Shamrocks Campaign

MEDINA — 77 locations in Ohio will be raising funds to empower the lives of children and adults living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related neuromuscular diseases from February 12th through March 14th for the annual MDA Shamrocks campaign to benefit the mission of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Funds raised go towards accelerating research, advancing care, and advocating for the support of families.

Discount Drug Mart is adding an iconic paper Shamrock (pinup) to their purchase at check out for just $1, $5 or a larger contribution. Each Pinup has a coupon attached you can Buy one 20 oz. bottle of 7UP or ZERO Sugar 7UP and get one 20 oz. bottle of 7UP or ZERO Sugar 7UP FREE. Discount Drug Mart joins thousands of other retail locations throughout the country in this year’s campaign — the nation’s largest St. Patrick’s Day-themed fundraiser. MDA Shamrocks will be displayed in Discount Drug Mart stores across Ohio visually declaring support for the cause.

The MDA Shamrocks campaign benefits the MDA Care Center at Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron in Akron, OH; Dean Martin Neuromuscular Clinic in Youngstown, OH; MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, OH; and Toledo Children’s Hospital in Toledo, OH. Funds raised also make MDA Summer Camp possible for Ohio area children. This summer program is an opportunity for children to learn vital life skills, make life-long friendships, and experience independence, at no cost to their families at Recreation Unlimited MDA Summer Camp.
