McChesney sworn in as Morrow Co. Auditor

MORROW COUNTY- Conni McChesney won her office seat for Morrow County Auditor in the general election on November 8, 2022. McChesney was sworn into office by Judge Robert C. Hickson Jr. with her husband Bruce, their three children and their spouses, five grandchildren, her mother, Janice Farris, and a few friends in attendance. McChesney officially began her term as the county Auditor on March 13, 2023.

McChesney says she has worked in the county her entire career, first as the owner of Conni’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe and later selling the business to own and operate a concession trailer.

She has worked in Morrow County and has over 18 years experience as the controller at Morrow County’s hospital in the finance department. Her experience in management in private business as well as her accounting and financial experience for the county hospital has prepared her for her new job as the county auditor. McChesney said she pledges to take her knowledge with her and learn the many aspects of the job. She plans to use her skills and experience to bring the county together and provide better communication.

Additionally, McChesney and her husband still currently own and operate McChesney’s Ice Cream Parlor which has a 1960s-style theme located at 3300 Township Rd 129, Cardington, OH adjacent to their home and farm in Morrow County.
