Highland volleyball beats DeSales

Highland battled back from an early deficit to top visiting St. Francis DeSales on Tuesday.

The Scots fell 25-13 in the first set, but bounced back to take the second by a 25-8 margin. They would then claim 26-24 wins in both the third and fourth sets to win the match.

Larsen Terrill picked up 34 assists to go with eight kills and 11 digs in the contest. Kameron Stover finished with 33 kills and three aces. Also, Kendal Kline tallied five aces and eight digs, Georgia Gantz added nine digs and Addie Mullins contributed three aces.

Northmor Golden Knights

The Northmor volleyball team was edged on the road by Ontario. While the match was a 3-0 win by the home team, the scores were close at 25-19, 28-26 and 25-22.

Lizzie Erlsten finished with five kills, four aces, two blocks, seven digs and 20 assists. Layla Castle added seven kills, while Mary Dean picked up 14 digs and Kallie Wright added nine digs and two aces. Makayla Sutton also had a pair of aces.

Cardington Pirates

The Cardington volleyball team suffered a loss at Elgin on Tuesday in three sets.

The Comets edged the Pirates 25-20 in the first set, but then took the second 25-7 before closing the match with a 25-19 win that dropped Cardington to 0-2 on the season.

Mount Gilead Indians

Loudonville picked up a KMAC volleyball win at home against Mount Gilead on Tuesday.

The Indians fell 25-8, 25-11, 25-16 to their opponents. Olivia Long recorded three kills and nine digs in the contest. Katie Oliver added an ace and eight digs, while both Lindsey Ayers and Cassady Irwin had two blocks each. Faith White added seven digs and four assists.
