Mount Gilead boys’ XC wins at Fredericktown

Mount Gilead won the boys’ race at Tuesday’s Fredericktown Invitational, scoring 40 points to lead the 26-team field.

Will Baker claimed the overall victory with a time of 15:08.33. Tommy Emberg took fifth in 16:35.17 and Owen Hershner was ninth in 16:53.36, while Nolan Hershner took 12th in 16:59.15. Henry Bartlett ran 17th in 17:11.3, Ethan Turner claimed 39th in 17:47.16 and Liam Stalnaker placed 51st in 18:05.1.

Also, Gage Bowersmith was 56th, Brycen Gabriel was 70th, Abram Newson was 72nd, Rowan Shaw was 80th, Cade Lewis was 86th, Chace Staats was 87th, Jon Miller was 107th, Kasen Wallace was 115th, Grayson Smith was 119th, Tyler Miller was 155th, Marshall Hand was 159th, Elias Bulkowski was 160th, Blake Staats was 161st, Gavin Keller was 198th, Tiger Carmon was 221st and Max Bulkowski was 234th.

Highland claimed fifth place with 231 points. Matthew Miller took 19th place in the race in 17:13.53, while Ethan Harmon ran 52nd in 18:05.32. Cael Gilmore took 54th in 18:10.32 and Henry Spence finished 58th with a time of 18:14.79. Jayden Marcum ran 71st in 18:34.64, while Coleman Chamberlain placed 77th in 18:41.3 and Caden Barsic claimed 99th in 19:06.3.

Also, Maddox Weiss was 108th, Bradon Lehman was 181st, Carson Young was 187th, Jacob Bowen was 189th, Konner Blaney was 199th, Isaiah Ross was 210th, Justin Berthold was 216th, Ben Sorrell was 225th, Bryden Bisbee was 242nd and Micah McLeod was 252nd.

Northmor placed seventh with 301. David Blunk ran 37th in 17:45.31 to lead the team, while Dane Creswell finished 63rd in 18:22.97 and Levi Hunter took 73rd in 18:36.45. Owen Yunker claimed 79th in 18:43.66 and Carter Thomas was 95th in 18:59. Anthony Schiebe placed 103rd in 19:10.5, while Ethan Amens took 122nd in 19:27.94.

Also, Elliot Wall was 133rd and Markus Parsons was 168th.

In 20th place was Cardington with 533 points. Dylan Compton took 35th in 17:44.27 to pace the Pirates. Riley Patterson ran 141st in 19:58.92 and Jacob McNichols took 183rd in 20:59.69, while Jaxon Ongalibang placed 194th in 21:11.22 and Cohen Rammelsberg ran 202nd in 21:23.06. Brayden Alwood took 217th in 21:51.14 and Brayden Rammelsberg placed 238th in 22:36.59.

Also, Danny Townsend was 249th, Hunter Jones was 257th and Jacob Webb was 292nd.

Gilead Christian placed 25th with a score of 583. Jackson Keller ran 123rd in 19:28.97 for the team, while Nathan Bossard took 132nd in 19:45.45. Seth Bertam placed 137th in 19:54.94, Joseph Bossard finished 174th in 20:48.45, Maxwell Keller ran 265th in 24:49.57 and Gideon Akers took 294th in 42:04.75.

In the 20-team girls’ race, which was won by Crestview, Mount Gilead took fourth with 148 points.

Kimberly Staley placed eighth with a time of 20:03.14 and Gwen Hershner finished 15th in 20:20.61 to lead the team. Adriana Hershner took 38th in 21:33.62 and Haley Pfeifer got 39th in 21:34.53, while Danielle Pohlkotte ran 59th in 22:32.21. Sophie Mosher claimed 75th in 23:13.34 and Natalie Jagger finished 123rd in 24:41.2.

Also, Ava Baker was 131st, Brooke Jagger was 168th, Baylee Snyder was 173rd and Lexi Fox was 213th.

Northmor placed seventh with 209 points. Ryann Brinkman led the team by placing 11th in 20:07.59, while Natalie Hunter was 41st in 21:36.62 and Veronica Kanagy took 48th in 21:57.72. Kate Lehman finished 63rd in 22:37.74, Macie Witherall got 66th in 22:50.86 and Natalie Newman took 68th in 22:51.71. Maddie May placed 77th in 23:19.02.

Also, Elizabeth Ruhl was 87th, Shelby Cooper was 89th, Katie Statler was 112th, Ella Albert was 133rd, Harley Barler was 145th, Ella Creswell was 176th and Addison Clever was 203rd.

Highland finished 14th with 357 points.

Braylin Romashak took 70th in 22:54.75 and Riley Matthews finished 71st in 22:54.89, while Brielle Gilmore placed 73rd in 23:00.54 and Rose Green ran 74th in 23:05.52. Abbie Pruett claimed 130th in 24:53.8, Karli Chamberlain finished 146th in 25:32.15 and Aubrey Kanagy placed 162nd in 26:23.17.

Also, Chloe Bolton was 167th, Emma Bolton was 216th and Mary Green was 220th.

In 15th with 367 points was Cardington. Magi Hallabrin placed 34th in 21:28.77 to lead the way. Dezzeray Mooney ran 84th in 23:31.47, while Chessa Redman placed 106th in 24:11.84. Also, Madison Garrabrant took 108th in 24:13.57 and Alayna Seavolt claimed 115th in 24:33.14.

Gilead Christian did not have a full team. Seraiah Campbell ran 33rd in 21:21.7 in the race.
